Notwithstanding how attractive a project may look, it is a real challenge to progress a wind farm project from the development stage into construction and operation. Packaging up a project into a deal which not only preserves the developer's interests but also demonstrates the attractiveness to equity and debt providers requires expert knowledge and a broad network of contacts in the financial world.
Seawind can provide a range of services to maximise the potential of a project and to give a developer a broad exposure to potential financing partners. Each project is analysed individually and discussed with the original project sponsors to incorporate their wishes, resulting in a detailed investment memorandum which is taken to the financial market. This will give clients the best possible chance of seeing their project come to fruition and provide the returns expected.
In certain cases Seawind can also submit the project to its internal financing department, for consideration as an internal project.
