There are several important factors to consider when assessing a site for its suitability for generating wind energy.

1.	The site should have a good wind climate
2.	The area needs to be large enough to accommodate wind turbines
3.	A flat topography is preferable to hilly terrain
4.	The site should be free of residential housing
5.	There must be a demand for the electricity
6.	It's easier to develop if the land is not in a dedicated protected zone

HOW SEAWIND WORKS WITH LANDOWNERS

•	Once engaged Seawind appoints a Project Engineer who checks the viability of a particular site and then compiles an Environmental Impact Assessment which involves contacting all the relevant interested and statutory authorities.
•	This person will be available to address questions and concerns of landowners and the general public.
•	On construction Seawind project manages all associated activities and ensures the safe and efficient installation of the turbines.
•	During operations and maintenance, Seawind maintains access roads and site security and promptly repairs any damage to the land or turbines.
•	Following decommissioning, Seawind will leave the land used for the wind development in the same or better condition than when construction began.
